i want to know if any other people keep their outdoor koi with other fish(different species) in their pond.

Hi i used to keep with my Koi, some Oranda and some feeder goldfish that grew to 8 inches.

Most of the time you see golden orfe and sturgeon's. And like sharKhUntEr sad: other koi!

if i had a pond w/ koi i would probably keep an aro and some gars.

I've kept with koi :
cichla occolaris
silver arowanas
oscars
gars
TSN
Arapaima

They all went fine with the koi. ;)

right now I have kois and red earsliders. I used to have bluegills.

Ohh that reminds me I also have kept turtles(red ear sliders and yellow belly cooters) with my koi.

I have kept them with other koi, common/comet goldfish, star stugeon, and a silver arowana.

golden orfe these are mine in my pond got to be 5lb had them for 8-9 years there is a koi in the middle of the 3 also have got Golden Tench in there

Basically any hardy fish that gets around the same size that won't attack them, and have room enough.

how do you keep koi with red ear sliders , dont the sliders nip and bite them?
How big is your pond?:)
My koi are babies and they live with common goldfish, plecos, kissing gouramis, tin foil barbs,and even bettas, they are o.k. unless the water quality gets bad. there fins are the first to show it,, but this is in a crowded fishtank im sure in a large pond they would get along great with any same size fish, that can handle the temp of your pond...

How do they work out with koi?
