hikari arow sticks are tha bomb. arrows can survive on that alone for the rest of their lives. they r freaking expensive but they are the 'cleanest' and have the best nutrition (ie. produce the LEAST ammonia). it is really one of the most 'high class' foods u could give ure arrow.
dont make the same mistake as i did and feed live food. first of all there is a much much higher chance of disease. second of all live food often has much higher fat content, hence causing dropeye which my arowana got. once ure arrow is sick it will starve for months and worry u to death.....literaly! y waste the trouble and good karma. go for good quality pellets instead. u will be a much happier man with less grey hair. good luck
i think its safe to feed pellets only. of course its good to give a mixed variety of food. but high class pellets or mixed pellets is perfectly fine for an aro
High quality pellets can sustain your aro for life. You can get a variety of prepared foods. Frozen and fresh foods are a welcome varience for your fish though. Just be careful where you buy them.
