I was thinking about buying a 150 gal tank, but I read that they weigh too much for a house with wood floor joists (my house has 80 year old floor joists). I need a bigger tank for my lungfish. Any ideas?
Do you have a basement? Can you get under the joists to put in supports? Lollicolumns? Try and get the ends of the tanks on beams and support the floor from the bottom. BEFORE you fill the tank, check to make sure there's no sagging as you fill.

I have a crawlspace. I can probably pier support the tank. Thanks for the advice.

Solid work. How old is the house? It looks identical to my crawlspace.

the house was built in 1906 but the foundation and everything is very solid. the tank will be here the 15th so we will see how it works out..
