Got them trained now. Every time I put the clear feeding tube in the tank, the eels come right up to the bottom of it, waiting for the food to come down, lol.

Nice pics. I got 2 in my tanks. One male one female. I had to move my female to my 30gal to get her to eat night crawlers. She was eating all the earth worms for my other eels :nilly: . I should be able to move her back in about 2 more weeks :headbang2

I think my fire eel is the favorite fish in my tank. he just seems so curious all the time...always investigating every corner looking for worms. he is only about 9 inches now but i cant wait till he gets bigger. do they get much thicker? and has any1 ever gotten a fire eel to eat any type of pellet? cuz mine refuses

The biggest erythrotaenia i know of is over 80 cm long and abaut 35 cm at the fattest part of the body. So they get thicker for shure.
I will get a picture the next time a visit the guy hwo keep her.
