Finally got to upload 1 pic on the net... Hopefully I will be able to get some more pics up, this Wickii isnt getting any smaller... lol. Right now hes 7" long, and about 7 mos. old. These grow up to 27", so they grow slower than RTC's even though they are almost the same species.. I think this CEC might be part RTC, as his tailfin has some red in it, but is still clearly white tipped.
Got this fish from a local redneck store that sold tractors, clothes, boots food and everything... was mislabeled and my Ma dukes scored this for under $10.00 Im sure hes quite a bit more valuable now-

Hmm... I'm sure you guys are right about this being an ARTC, But I still believe its a hybrid of RTC and Wickii.... I could be wrong, but i will be getting pics of the tail up soon.. there are white tips. This fish is akiller, I made the mistake of putting in some feeder goldfish... Evidently, Lee was not hungry but decided to maim and kill all the goldfish... there were scales everywhere! I have handfed this fish, he/she loves river shrimp... This fish killed my LSN, I have since moved the other to a bigger tank... Its only tankmates are a pair of raphaels, striped and spotted...

The caudal fin in adult specimens is whole or partially coloured bright red. Juvenile specimens have a whitish coloured caudal fin." Sounds like your white fin situation. He is young and it is fading.
