Why are TSN heads becoming worse and worse? Is it due to the farming of the fish? My tsn had a straight head and now im seeing angled heads and to me it looks like a degenerate trait. Here is a normal vs sloped head

Better change the figures ($) at the bottom of this DrZ!!!!
I agree I wouldnt want a TSN that doesnt look as it should swimming in its home waters with a straight snout. My Sturio has a slightly turned up nose which seems prevalent with them as well.

do you think this could ba a result of the farming? not living in it's "natural habitat? or "bad genes"? possibly both?!

I think its just because they are probably being inbred where they are farmed.

definitely a genetic trait. I have three. Two are perfectly straight the other is way deformed I know you have all seen him in my catfish bonanza thread. A lot of them are also missing pelvic fins like mine and several others I have seen. I have noticed the deformity in two spots. One is behind the head in the atlas axis region of the spine, and the other is in the cranium towards the premaxillae. I'd say inbreeding in fish farms or they are selling us their culls.

Thats why i said bad genes i was reffering to the limited # of gene pools they have.
