He was around 10 inches I believe. He was a great fish. Very active. He ruled the bottom of the tank, and he didn't make life easy on my clown loaches and bichirs, so I sold him.

ivebeencanceled: I looked on planet catfish and it says mine is Pimelodus albofasciatus. Not sure how old it is. I got it at the lfs. It was a trade in because the people who had it last didn't want it anymore because it ate up most of their peaceful fish. It has grown about an ich or maybe two, but thats pushing it since I got it. Its about 6 - 8 iches now. Can't really tell right now just looked real quick with the lights off.

Here's the one I had sold to me as a blochii x tsn, and tsn stands for tiger shovelnose catfish.

So ive been feeding my Pimelodus Cat a steady diet of earthworms, and he has about 15 recently added baby Bullheads in his tank that eat TetraFin Goldfish flakes, he eats some every now and then, his colors have showed up tremendously.
He use to be all silver with a few very pale skinny lines running down his side, now he has thick dark gray/black lines, with silver underneath.

I Have 2 babies in my 125 gallon tank....they chill out with my regular pictus cat...the biggest of the 4 lines is around 3 1/2 inches...they CONSTANTLY piss of my Marble Redtail Catfish (Got tha name from Wolf3101)...Their really active...a little too active...running over my Lima Shovelnose when ever they get the chance...for some reason all my catfish like to huddle ontop of each other and go to sleep tho...
