Yeah.. ive seen like 2 ft plecos . But ive wondered what the record is.. Are there any 10 ft plecos out there that sucks baby humans slime ? LOL anyways, pleco addicts, can you check this out and post your findings here? MFK appreciates your monstrous effort in finding monstrous cats.

i think i saw a almost 3 footer at my lfs when i first got my silver arow.

I saw a common that had to be 30" at a LFS. Guy also raised it with a 4' TSN.

Biggest I had was about 18". They are to dirty for me to keep now.

um I had a 23" pleco with my rtc 3 years ago. bought him at about 15". There's about a 20" at my lfs I got my eye on for my new indoor pond. I saw one that had to be well over 30" at a japanese resturant in my hometown. If I remember next time I go home, if it is still alive I will photograph it with someone next to it. You guys might be waiting a couple of months on that one though. lol.

Ive seen pics in the 2 ft range too.... theyre scary at that size.

I think "Snow Kings" are the largest.
They usually reach 2ft. or larger.

Here's a nice little grow-out:
HA.... Acanthicus Hystrix will get bigger. 4' A. Adonis just shy of that. Panaque sp like the one above would get bigger.

I saw a two footer in the Amazon.I was spearfishing at night in Peru.It took of as soon as the light hit it.my guides said it was over a meter long.they like to exaggerate.

I dunno about you guys...but I love LARGE plecos...they are sooo kewl to handle! I love the way their armor interlocks...it just feels sooo kewl, used to catch my two 20" commons by hand...lol..awesome fish! I got rid of them though...sigh.....they were crapmachines i swear...blah!

Biggest ive seen would be just over 1ft. I know they get bigger though!

I'm sorry for being a b!tch, but if I'm ever in the water and see a pleco anywhere near teh size of some of these photos, my 230 lb ass is gonna look like jesus walking on water, only faster!
The one posted by Oddball is supposed to be the pleco with largest potential size..up to 100cm in the wild.. Pseudacanthicus hystrix..
