are dats real sensitive to lights? i have two indos maybe three inches in a 55 grow out.. they use to be real active when i had other fish in the tank, but now its just those two and now they always hide. but once i turn the lights off they swim around and eat. they wont eat with the lights on.

thanks

I don't even have lights on my dat tank anymore. Mine seem much more stable and active with the lights out, too. Hopefully that changes once they get a little larger.

Thats strange as my Dats are always stable and out with two strong lights on and some pretty big tankmates and they are only 1.5"-2.5".

They just have to get adjusted to the lights. If fish are in darkness and then you shine light, of course their going to freak out. Try leaving the lights on more often. Tankmates will also help to encourage swimming and movement. Good luck
