Thanks all...I specially ordered him from a breeder I'd heard very good things about, in Thailand. There's actually two, the second is a smaller female - I'll have to see about breeding them when they grow up. I'm very impressed with him, and he's traveled more than I have! :grinno:

Yeah, he's got awesome colour on him already. The female is much duller.
Nice looking kokster fry  should get a nice head when it matures!
Nice flowerhorn. Looks like a female though because of the black spot/blotch on the dorsal.
You can't always tell the sex of flowerhorn with the dorsal method anymore...But if it is a female maybe it will have a nice head to thats rare tho!

I dunno...could be I suppose, but I'm pretty sure Baine is a male. If it is a female, oh well :)
Well, looks like a male to me. If so... will become a great stud with that forehead. :)

Yeah, I'm pretty convinced Baine is a male. He's growing too quickly, has too much colour already, and that forehead is developing too quickly, I think, for it to be a female. In which case, I can't wait for him to grow up, see what he looks like.

the bright red eye is a sign of good water conditions and health! that fish is a credit to you.
looks like a male to me although i have a female and its tough to tell the male apart except shes laying eggs every six weeks right now! tough fish to breed, believe me when i say that FH breeders do earn the high prices for good fish.
