just picked this guy up at my LFS for $12. He's pushing 4.5" Feel free to leave any comments or advice. Thanks:D

I have a comment: Absolutely awesome!
I have advice: Keep your tank around 80 deg. Cuts down on parasitic infections.

Mine cut the hell out of me, so be careful handling them like that. Somewhere on their head is something sharp. It was like a bad paper cut.

thanks alot! they had one about a month ago that was a little larger, but not quite as colorful. i went home to think it over...when i decided to go pick him up he was gone. classic mistake. i saw this guy today and there was no hesitation. they've been getting these guys in off of trades and have no idea what they are worth. i love it! i just play stupid and pretend it's a normal price! :D i'm just waiting for them to get another in. we have very few nice sized loaches around so i need to take advantage of these opportunities. wish i could find an oddball loach now. :popcorn:

You can pretty much dictate what color your clowns are with either dark or light coloured substrate for future refrence. But Congragulations on your first loach and make sure you give him some hiding spots in the tank!

:iagree: They have tusks that flare out when frightned or alarmed, the tusks on my 10" loach are down right sinster looking:naughty:
