I have this baby red ear slider turtle I rescued from a bazaar :screwy:

A crazy lady was selling the babies for 10 dollars each and had them all in an extra small bug aquariums. So I decided to spare 1 which is in a 10 gallon tank that was normal for feeders.
Anyways I need help to get it to eat  I try using roman lettuce and normal dried stick foods, but it wont eat them. Also for some reason it seems to be sleeping all the time since it wont open its eyes.(He can see)

Edit: I can take pics, but won`t have them ready until tomorrow.

I agree with Paul, give him some tuna fish or you could get a few eathworms and throw them in the tank. The movement of the worms might entice him to eat too. Also make sure the water temperature is in the mid to high 70's.

I would be willing to bet its a temperature problem. Make sure that the water is around 78-80 degrees and offer a nice basking spot with a heat/UVB lamp.
