ok maybe i there just been spoiled or they are just to small. but i got my bichirs some sinking carnivore pellets and they just wont eat them but i put in some blood worms and they just go crazy for them. whats wrong are they ok are they jsut being picky?

since they havent seen them before so they probly dont recognize them as food yet...

You're probably feeding enough that they've become picky.

so what should i do to get them to start on the pellets im trying to vary there diet. any ideas?

easiest way to do it (might be hard for some people) starve your fish for a couple of days (it wont harm them just make them hungry) and then they should be willing to eat anything...

good idea by bush. I am doing that now to wean my cichids onto pellets and away from bloodworms

There's no reason to feed a bichir every single day anyway. I feed my bichirs and ropes every 2-3 days and honestly they could go longer.

If you're feeding them every single day, obviously they're going to pick out whichever food they like best and ignore everything else because they're not all that hungry. Bichirs hunt by smell, and bloodworms, which probably smell a lot better to them are going to get their attention quickly, whereas carnivore pellets may not interest them unless they're actually hungry.
