Last time i didnt use dechorinators at all for all fishes and they still lived happily. Something else must have been wrong. But then again it would depend on where your water is coming from.

It depends on your local water conditions, higher levels of chlorine literally burn gill tissue, some areas use very little and chlorinequickly breaksdown if exposed to air, chloramine is more persistant.

I use Prime and I swear by it. Awesome stuff.

I always make sure I use dechlor, but our water doesn't have much chlorine in it.

Live in a rural area and use well water (private personally owned). Have never "dechlored" at all for partial water changes. Almost all my fish live out their expected lifespan so I'm guessing it's OK................................................ ....??
