I feed, blackworms, earthworms ( canadian nightcrawlers ), shrimp ,smelt ,squid cubes and sometimes fish.
mine is purely on market prawns, frozen/live shrimps & live feeder fishes.......

btw, how big are the blackworms u mentioned?? do they comes in cube form?

blackworms are like tubifex worms but a bit bigger and you buy them alive
and in small cups called portions. They are a bit expensive as they cost USD 1.50
for a small portion. My 11 inch henleii eats 15 usd worth of blackworms every 3 days.

got it..........thats expensive......i would suggest you'll change the diet of your henlei.........HIGH MAINTAINANCE :22_yikes:

Its a great starter food. I only feed it for a couple of weeks
till the rays get a little weight on them . Then i move them to
chopped shrimp.

I only have one motoro and a tea cup bu they are both feed well on rosy's and night crawlers.

market shrimp,blackworms,blood worms, earthworms,squid, and feeders b/c i love watching them catch them
i had one of my motoros come to the top and grab a cricket.
hand fed 12" motoro with squid and cut up octopus

that was one of joys of owning rays
my oldes motoro would see the red plate(what i cut shrimp on)
and he would bugg out and come to the water surface and wait to be hand fed :hearts:

I'm lucky.. my PDR and Motoro takes Sera Sinking Granules....
Other food they get to eat are MP, Superworms, Bullfrogs.. just about anything it can get in its mouth...

I saw a new Ray site thats in Europe he is experimenting with a new pelt food that is highly nutirous. http://www.freshwaterstingray.nl. I'm in the process of setting up a new 75g for the two rays I'm purchasing soonist. Good luck from Alaska

I know this feeling. My 10" motoro would come up a 30 inch high tank
just to get his shrimp. I love how the disc would touch my hand..

adults ray are fed on shrimps and the babies is fed on bloodworm
