Hey everyone. I just found one of my thin-bars dead. I fed my fish 1 hour ago and everything seemed fine. When I took a look 1 hour later, I found one of my 3 1/2 inch thin-bars dead. It was curled around the heater. When I pulled it out, I saw a big gash on one side. On the other side, I saw round marks that look like the fish might have been stuck to my filter intake tube. I think it must have gotten the marks after it was dead. Anyways, when I took it out, the stomack area on the other side looked like it was ripped out. Here's a couple of pictures. Do you think that one of his tankmates attacked it? Was the fish killed, then stuck to the intake tube, then was knocked off the tube by another fish trying to eat it and then floated to the heater and became wrapped around. His tankmates are: 1 Silver aro 14", 2 3.5 inch thinbars, 1 7inch thinbar, 1 ornate bichir about 8 inches and 1 common pleco about 6 inches. Help me solve this crime, The Doctor.

I think a 14" silver aro could easily tear up if not swallow completely that lile 3" NTT.

I agree. The aro probably was still hungry.

I guess would be bichir or arrow bit it by accident when it thought the thin bar was food during frenzy feeding.

I would say that it's the Arowana that's the KILLER! Though mine was a Aussie Arowana It KILLED!, off several of my fish even ones way too big to be considered a meal (Anglefish that couldn't have fit in it's mouth using a crowbar), even when it shouldn't have been hungry.
