I have got the chance to get my hands on some peacock bass here...size probably 6-7 inches. Am thinking of putting them in with my 2 RES (less than 7") in a indoor pond of ard 300 gallons. Do you think these ferocious cichlids have a chance against turtles?

Personaly I wouldnt put them in there. Pbass do not really seem that agressive to me, and ontop of that turts eat fish. Its just a bad idea. JMO

What type of turtles?

Red ears are not the most aggresive turtles either. I would try it. I highly doubt a 7 inch turtle would go after a 7 inch p-bass. Might actually go the other way. I'm not sure but, I doubt there would be any injuries.

i was going to do red-ear sliders with koi and mosquito fish but decided not to since, people told me the turtle will eat the koi.
but one of my grand-pa in japan has some kind of japanese snapping turtle thats a little bigger then a foot(not including the really long giraffe neck) with his koi and some other fish(and ducks!) but he hasn't had a problem.

if it's were me doing peacock bass and red-ear slidrs; i would try it.
