As you all can see i am trying to get my five post in to get full advantage of my user options :lol2: If you want to save big on the blue-white fliter media. Call your local air filter company and you can get big rolls of it. I buy a 45 foot roll at 18 inches wide for around 20 bucks. You know the lfs is making a killing on that. I thik they sell 3 foot sheets with the same width for like 7 bucks?

The same crap as the filter elements. I drive a truck for a living and deliver this crap from time to time. Wish I thought of it! Nice tip.

Yes this is true, I stopped by today and check it out, they have a very large roll of some polyester/fiber material that looks identical to some of the stuff you buy at LFS and its tons cheaper.

Make sure it doesn't contain fire retardant or mold inhibitors as at least one brand does.

Also note that some bagged polyfil has short fibers that can clog the impeller, this problem hasn't been noted with roll material.

For those without a Walmart, sewing or material (cloth) centers also carry this in bags or by the roll.
