:headbang2 :D :headbang2 :D

I got a new GT Friday night, to replace the juvie I lost a couple months ago. Looks like it might be a male, not sure tho, its around 4" or so and looks to have pretty good coloration. Also grabbed a female salvini around 2" and a Firemouth around 2 1/2".

My gf named the sal "lilly," and I named the FM "Righty" cause he has an orange streak above his right eye and nothing to match on the other side. Hoping the GT's male, I think I'll name him "Duce" as he's the 2nd GT i've owned. I'm sooo excited. Here are a bunch of pics.

Let me know your thoughts

Added the fake plant too, the viney loking one. Always hated fake plants but actually think I like the looks of this one.

Thanks for the props!! I'm very hapy with this set-up

Headrush the tank looks great! I would add a little green behind the main piece of DW. That would make the tank PERFECT! The GT is definately a keeper! Great pickup. I say it's a male. The FM looks male as well and so does the Salvini. If the salvini has a black dot on the Dorsal than it's a female. Anyways all of them look GREAT and healthy Good luck to you! I WANT UPDATES LOL! How is the JD and other FM takin to this?

Absolutely incredible setup and fish, those guys are going to do great in there. What a great combination of fish for that setup. Are you going to have some catfish and plecos in there as well or do you already have some bottom dwellers? Awesome setup!

now thats what i call aquascaping. How much you charge an hour? i have a few tanks that could use a touch up.

here's a shot of the pleco's. Think I might only keep the biggest one and then find a gold nugget or something smaller and colorful. Thats down the road a bit tho. Also put my 2 YOYO loaches in there. Nobody can catch them and they're loving all the room.

The JD's not a problem but the big male FM is being a ba$tard, chases the GT around a lot, but is starting to chill out. these 3 fish make the cichlid count 5, and it looks to be working very well as far as spreading agression. nobody gets really chased too bad, and seeme to be getting better each day. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Last photo is my favorite. that FM just plain hates the pleco...never ends but is very entertaining :grinno:

Thanks everyone

wish I could go bigger like 15-200

Would LOVE a loisellei and festae...maybe a flowerhorn ....the list goes on. Not enough room til I build a place. Why not try to "pimp my Tank"

Really don't spend much anymore but driftwood was all around 25/pc and 70# gravel (w/tank deal). Got everything in there I want so Its just maintenance now

I would love to have my tank looking like that. Too much wood for my O though in a 90 gal.... would take up too much room.

Nice work though it looks great.

Tank and new additions look great! I wish I had the room in my tank. My 3 O's take up the space. I really like the aquascaping as well in the tank, and great find on the driftwood. Have you ever tried attaching java fern or java moss to it? I think it would look great, and would bring balance to the other side of the tank.

Headrush, your tank is awesome. I love your background. Is it a DIY or just a 2-D poster?

BTW, your GT looks male.

Thanks

Background is from Drs Foster & Smith online. Got the Anubias barteri and Nana there as well. I ordered last Jan or Feb and they actually held the order because of the weather being too cold (would've killed the plants). So I gotta say they're a good operation from my exp.

I have attached java ferns to this type of wood, but its all in my 30 with my GBR's. Took a while to really stick but I attached them with rubber bands and by the time they broke down and fell off the ferns were pretty much attached.

Well so far so good. everybody has found their rank and things are settled in. Only thing I'm a little concerned about is that the big male FM chases the smaller FM pretty hard sometimes. I think its also a male so I may have to consider a swap. For now I'm just gona keep my eye on them.

Thanks for all the compliments and opinions. They're always welcome.
