My Muskies are about 10 inches now, And tonight I realized they are the fastest fish I've ever owned!!! Mallory, the larger one, which I believe to be a female, was sitting in the far left corner of the tank, facing the other end of the tank. I threw in a 2 inch minnow about 5 feet away from her. The minnow began to swim down, and than an explosion from her resembling a top fuel dragster took place. Gravel flew everywhere, and in like a 10th of a second, she stopped on a dime, and the minnow was gone. She traveled 5 feet faster than the eye could see!!! Hitting her target with absolute precision!!! Unbelievable fish they are!!! I'm sooooooooooo glad I have them!!! The pic I attached is from about 2 weeks ago, at about 9 inches. Stay tuned, cause it's fall, and their eating has picked up!! Specially the one I believe to be female, Mallory! By the way, the male is named Mickey, LOL!

Wow - never seen them in stores until a few weeks ago - now everyone is getting them.... Weird. I am enjoying mine, too, but am not feeding him a lot - so I can ENJOY him as long as he is smaller. When he's bigger, how can I enjoy him in my pond? So a small diet it is...

Yeah, I'm sure he would. How 'bout it, Zoo? Could you pick one up if I wanted you to? Not trying to derail this thread, sorry. They get big, don't they?

How long do they take to get huge though? ZOO said that he could pick up a gar for me if needed so that's why I said that...

I believe laws where changed allowing us to obtain them, because of the whole snakehead debacle! This way if they get big, and people dump them in lakes and rivers, all they are dumping is a sterile native fish.

I found them at a pet shop in Rockford. A month after I got them I found a pet shop in Milwaukee that also had them. The place in Milwaukee also had baby Walleye. I will set up a 70 over winter, with a chiller for some walleye in the spring!!!

Mine were 2 inches long on June 27th, the day I got them. Now they are 10 and 9.5 inches long, and eating 2 inch long minnows.

Lets just say they conserve energy, LOL! But they do move around, not like my Tiger Shovelnose which has gone 24 hours without ever moving! LOL! The TM's are the most explosive eaters I've ever seen, specially when really hungry! That title use to belong to my Peacock Bass.
