Convict questions?

Hi there
Would like to know the following about convicts

Are they jumpers? do they need a hood. The light used for a 29g tank should a 20watt light be enough. The natural habitat doe they like driftwood or stoney environment, maybe a combination of the 2

They like to hide among rocks so having driftwood, rock caves and flowerpots in your tank will be greatly appreciated! A hood is probably a good idea too.
 
if you have a breeding pair you will be up to your eyeballs in mini cons in no time. I have never had any jump but you never know a hood is always a good idea and I dont think the light much matters but they will probably have better color with lower light.
 
Your lighting is just fine. They come from rocky environments with few plants and some driftwood. So if your going for the natural thing then provide plenty of rocks and cave and if you want a piece of driftwood or something. In my experience convicts are reluctant to jump. But to be on the safe side you should probably get a hood anyways and plus it will also help with evaporation. Good luck with your cons!
