My monos are doing good. Pushing 4.5 inches. Should I expect to see some colouring up now peacock?? Or do they still need a bit more size about them? ATM got them eating white bait, bloodworms, beefheart and pellets.

temensis are doing good and getting large, maybe 6". Tail is getting nice and red and the speckles are coming in real nice. I am feeding mine mainly pellets and trying to get them to take frozen cod and striper meat. No luck yet though. Here are a couple recent pics.

I have tried pellet from the feed store. IMO the pellet you buy their aren't as clean...have a tendency to mess the water when the fish are eating.

JEHMCO has a great line of pellet as well. I have to look into Ken's. Heard the name mentioned often.

True Feed pellets are meant for farms which usually raises their fish in ponds. So they don't have the concern of clouding the water up. My water gets really cloudy but only if I overfeed. Which is what I do as I like to feed my fish until they can't eat another bite. I know some people that use the same food and their tanks are clean and clear. So the key to it is. Strong Filtration and not overfeeding.
