this is 3 years ago before they were put in my new house pond. they only measured about 16 inches back then. in the picture they are kept in a 8'by2.5'by2.5' tank.

my bad....not 16 inches....maybe more like 22 inches. keeping in mind that each partition of the cupboard is 2 feet each.

NO! lol you really need some help with your visualization skills buddy. 6 years it should be 3 1/2 ft long that would be bad conditions not to mention you would probably have other fish in there. NICE TSN to the original poster!

yeh i have to agree with the above....in 6 years a healthy TSN shud be HUGE! just as big or even larger than a RTC (probs maybe over 4ft if given enuf food and space). that 6 foot tank would only last about 2-2.5 years man. maybe even shorter because long bodied fish risk injury in small tanks since they can break their mouths and spines if skittish.

Depends on the sub-species... there are some that will NEVER hit 3'...but generally that size tank is good for 2-3 years depending on how it's treated... if it's a Spotted then it'll be MUCH Less time... 1 1/2 - 2 years TOPS
Stop trying to sqish your fish into tanks long term Josh ;) You know you'll want a bigger tank anyway

looks just like my old TSN
i wish i had him still but didnt have the room in 75g w/o him eating my fish.
i wish i could empty out my 36,000 gallon pool and get him back :(
but what can a 15 year old do? lol

haha my TSNs are far from perfect tho...they r a lot more skittish and fussy compared to my RTCS and RTC/TSN hybrids. mainly cuz i didnt feed them dead food (like pellets) wen they were babies :(
