I hear ya. My problem is I like to hoard fish. I bought 18 Paroon sharks once.
Which btw was behind a divider that was in my 250G with all those other monsters I mentioned above on the other side of the divider.

Just imagine how the crazy MFK style tanks keep their water perfect.
I say perfect because a lot of setups have rays ( mostly black rays )
and they all look perfect and thriving. What a feat!!

People can get quite creative on what and how many they cant pack into the tanks whne you're limited on how many tanks you can set up

I'm bringing the numbers back up, since my relocation, of 500,000 red-claw crays in an 18,000 gal system. That's an average of 28 crays per gallon. Keep in mind that a high number of these crays are larval and juvenile.
The grow out bins hold 150lbs of crays per 450gal bin. I'm currently running 20 bins and making adjustments for adding another 10 bins.
Filtration is accomplished with a 600gal bead filter with a dedicated blower and 3 30gal/min pumps. A commercial size protein skimmer is in-line to pull waste and add additional aeration to the system. Final aeration and stripping is provided by a degassing tower with dedicated blower. Each bin also contains commercial size sponge filters (4lb/400gal) running on .25cfm per sponge.

jeebus chr1st! :omg:
55 gal with 8 Silver Aros from 6-8 inches with tons of tank mates (Giant Gouramies, Senegals, Tin Foils, but all these guys were tiny).
my friend cycled his 125 with 250 neons
I've come close to this with neons but my pike cichlidate most of them in a couple of day then wouldn't hardly move for a week, after that he'd just sometimes snack on them between meals.
30 gallon tank
biggest to smallest
8in smallmouth bass (female 1 year old wildcaught last month eating krill out of my hand like a puppy)
6in marbled goby
2 6in monoclusus
5in jardini
4in smallmouth (male 1year old wildcaught last month eating krill)
3 3.5in clown loaches
3.5in jurenese
50 percent water change every 3-4 days
black estes sand, driftwood, dwarf lillys
feeding in this tank is a blast and i had to divide initally due to aggression between the pbass, jardini, and the smallmouth
jardini and smallmouth went at it for days...... thought they would make it several times but now all is well in the 125 (added everything but the clown loaches and the jurenese to a 110 (6ft long 18 wide 20 high) i also added 3 5-8in koi which pretty much replaced the clown loaches)
next time big clowns are for sale il dump all my stock besides the smallies for them
When I first started out around age 10 or so, my first tank was pretty awful:
18 Gallon - 18, not 180!!
3 Tiger Oscars
2 Tinfoil Barbs
2 Red Devils
2 Red Bellied Pacus
1 Common Pleco
All were under 3 inches, and everthing except 1 single Red Devil died :(
Somehow, I don't think I have gotten much better though, only my fish stay alive longer...

2 violet gobies
2 marble gobies
3 senegal bichirs
3 electric blues
1 oscar
Current 40 gallon tank. The only fish bigger than my hand are the violets though.
I also had 2 12" clown knives and an 8" dempsey in a 55 gallon drum for about a week. Filtration wasn't an issue but the clowns got restless so I had to put them outside in a galvanized tank with a liner....until I can get better liner or get my big tank done then they'll come inside. I didn't buy these guys though they were dumped on me.
