Priming magnum 350 cannister filter

Make sure that your filling the cannister up to the line on the side with water ...then start the pump for about a minute or so... turn it off and wait while the cannister fills. It's a good idea on established systems to tie a a fine mesh filter bag on the intake (or outlet depending on the cannister) hose to catch the bulk of the debris that will come out as the trapped air escapes. Remove the bag once the can's full and restart the motor.
 
there might me some air in the filter shake the filter and try to turn it on its side it should be ok in a while...By the way get ur self a nice Eheim filter..

I got eheim too but magnum does a good job too and I read on one wb site that it's on their no.1 choice just forgot where I saw it.
 
I usually just fill it with water 3/4-full slap the cap on and turn it on. works for all my magnum 350 filters....
