Ok, so now the idea of having a large enough tank to stock with more colorful fish is taking over my original plan.
Here's an updated pic. I added a Lunar Wrasse (blue-green smudge in picture), changed the background to create more a more contrasting look.
What do you think?
Any ideas on some smaller fish I could add that the lionfish would leave alone? I was thinking of maybe adding a maroon clown, but I don't know.

I unno, was originally just kinda gonna use it as base rock. Came from my friends pond so anything weird has been leached from it for quite some time. my lionfish likes the cave it makes though. He hangs out perched upside down in it.

maroon clowns are pretty aggressive so I wouldn't put them with a lionfish, I would watch that wrasse too.

really? Huh, I know a couple of people who have had a lunar wrasse and they haven't really had it bother any of their bigger fish (inverts a completely different story.) So far the tang is more aggressive than the wrasse. The wrasse is more like a torpedo shaped eating machine.
I had a marroon clown once apon a time. was a personable little fish. Do you really think it'd bother the lion? there's a sliiiight size difference there.

I understand the size difference between the two, but maroon clowns can be really mean and lions are a really mellow fish. Every fish is different so it could work for you. I hope it does I wanted to do a wrasse in my tank but I was worried about aggression.
