A lil while back I suggested to my boyfriend that we get an aquarium for my daughter. One weekend we went out and bought a 10 gallon tank starter kit and whatever else we needed to get it goin. Took it back to the house and got it up and running quick, treated the water and went to get fish. I had picked out some community fish that I was familiar with from having an aquarium when I was growing up. In the first 2 weeks we only lost 2 fish. We're goin on 3 months now and have only lost one or two more of the original fish. Our Pleco has gotten quite large and has nice coloration. I can't wait to see how much bigger it'll get once we get into bigger tanks. Although the quick setup worked I wouldn't do it again, especially since he's itchin to get into saltwater tanks. I think a larger freshwater tank would be better to try before jumpin into saltwater.
