Do they ever jump out? My shrimp tend to do that.

well, mine only jump about an inch . but its the 4 foot fall to the floor that does them in.
still trying to find some cherrys but my ghost shrimp jet up through the water whenever my loaches get next to them so i wouldn't doubt them jumping out of the tank

You happen to have any experience with Vampire Shrimp? I've been interested in them for awhile, and trying to decide if I should talk myself into getting one.

They are easy to care for. They are not to pickey with water chemistry. They filter feed and scavange. They eat almost anything as far as fish food ect. They do have a larval fase that requires brackish water, so breeding them is not an easy task. They dont mess with smaller shrimp or fish, so they are actually a good invert for most tanks. They are as big as a crayfish but would get pounded by one. I would not recommend keeping them with any crays.

I love the cherry shrimp. I have about 30-40 of them in a small tank on my nightstand. :)
