What are the best way of designing your tank for the RBPs? I was planning to do it with some white sands, rocks and a branch of tree.. is it preferable?

Make it look like amazon gravel or sand, rock, wood, and live plants. Be sure to make soom room for piranha to swim.

I agree, give them room to swim, but put some places for them to hide in there too. Actually, what size are they?

Right now, im not yet sure how big are they gonna be.. the dealer told me that it would be out in a week from now... my final plan is that i would be having a 75g tank and have 5 RBPs... wouldn't it be hard for me to set up plants in a 75g tank? because my friend told me that he did have a hard time in setting up a plant setup in his 10g tank...

5 RBP in 75gallon with be to crowed. this is no way you can keep your plants alive, piranha are fast swimmer it will run your plants over.
Your best bet is to have 3 piranha are the most in there. Wait until you get 125gallon then you have get 5.
Yet 75gallon planted are great. My suggestion is get a single SERRA. speciese with planted tank would be much better.

i agree 100 %
even 2 red's will ruin plants. . . . . i think so any way
Yeah, a 75 with 5 RBPs will be too crowded, go with a nice trio

That's what I'm doing when I get my rhom!! ^.^
piranha's are rough on live plants i have a few in with my rhom and all he does is tare them up. so i moved them to the manni's tank and he's a little gentler. for all piranha's fallow the 20-30gal rule... 1 piranha for every 20-30gallons.
and if you plan on keeping all 5 upgrade to a 120+ when they get to 5"-6". or just get a huge tank and make a mix shoal with caribe, tern, reds, piraya

piranha's are rough on live plants ! I AGREE I never had had much luck keeping
them in the ground I think small ground cover would be the best bet .

I personally have no problem with my 4 RBP and a planted tank.

I think it depends on the character of your P's. If you know them well enough then you know what kind of environment they need in their tank. Shy and timid??? Then plenty plants, hidingplaces, etc.
Luckily my P's are not shy and timid. Just the opposite. So I had the luxury of designing my tank as clean and tidy as possible (much like the interior in my living room). I was confident enough that my P's wouldn't mind the lack of plants and hidingplaces.
It took about an hour for the P's to get used to their new home. Now they are swimming free and they seem to enjoy it. No signs of stress and their feeding behaviour is still unchanged. No goldfish lasted longer then 5 minutes and shrimps are also still appreciated.
Here are some pics of my setup just after is put my P's from my old tank to the new.
