Can anyone get there's on pellets? I feed mine krill and rosy's (feeders)


but the pellets have vitamins, and are much better for the gar.. or should I just stick with what im doing~!

go for the pellets as well! sometimes you can effectively get a FD krill-trained gar on to pellets quite easily by just mixing some hikari floating carnivore sticks in with the krill. eventually feed less and less of the krill in the mixture until they readily take just the pellets. then you can alternate with your feedings whether it's krill, pellets, or chopped fish/shrimp (the last option being the better alternative to feeders).

keep in mind at first they may take the pellets and crunch them up, then spit them out...but after a day or two they will come around. good luck and keep us posted on how the fish is doing--

he took a bite of one today and spit it out.. my jaguar is the clean up crew..

this is how i got my first florida gar on pellets.

keep trying...eventually he will eat them.
