Lung fish and electric eels look a lot alike. Could I keep them together and would they possibly breed?

Definitely no breeding. Humans resemble chimpanzees- would you try to breed with one? The point here being that not all things that look alike can hybridize.

Umm no
They will not be able to live together and the will most definitley not breed.
They are very VERY different animals.

This is the kind of question that comes up as the result of ZERO research. Why some people choose to so overtly embarrass themselves is beyond me.

There have been worse. A steady stream from one individual comes to mind.

I think it's worth a try. You could have one hot lungfish. Also, maybe some even hotter babies.

rick, this user is being sarcastic. If you try it, you will end up with injured fish and eventually at least one dead.

What? I want a link to that post. Wondering if it is the same individual that I was referring to. Either way, please DO not put a lung fish in the same tank as an electric eel.

Why does the hybrid section get burdened with this obvious thread of the year candidate?
