What do you think about africans and gars together? How long the marriage would happy stand ?

We have two peruvian's (5") and young africans together in a 55 gal, just until the gars get big enough to go with the others
A 4' gar would be very happy in a tank full of 6" african cichlids, heheh, the cichlids on the other hand will not be so happy.

No problem. which ever fish is the biggest will have a nice snack.

I retract my last statement because last night we noticed one of the gars had a large tummy, yes, they were hunting the cichlids. How the f*#! they fit them in their mouth??? No more of those two together...
