Is it a good idea for sptd gars to eat color foods?

I just got a 6.5" spotted gar and I was wondering if anyone has ever got them to eat somekind of color enhancing pellets? And of course should I try:)?
 
Thanks. thats what I wanted to hear :) If it makes a big diff or not

Same here. My Florida gar loves hikari gold, but I couldn't tell you if it helps bring out his color or not.
