i keep reading different growth rates for the same 4 aros i am looking at. does any one know what the growth rates are for a black, silver, jardini, and leichrdti are? like inches per month and at what age do they start to slow down growing and then how many inches per month once they start to mature? Thanks guys, I can always count on this site to be right! i don't even know why i bother with google anymore, haha!:)

Because google is your best friend.. it's too easy to find information on google.. but growth rates.. I don't know.. but maybe one of the more experienced MFKers can chime in on this.

okay, take a listen and read up. this is off expereince.

jardini and leichardti have basically same growth rate, but in my opinion leichardti will keep growing when a jar usually stops n slows down.

arowanas will generally continue to grow for about 2 years. u wont see much slowing thruout this 2 year time.

usually around 2ft it'll slow down, and an aro can hit 2ft within 1.5yr and 2yrs. after this it'll slow down to a few inches a year if that.

aros generally grow 1" or so a month sometimes more.

almost all 4 aros have very very similiar growth rates, but i believe the black is the slower of the 4. usually takes 3-4 years to hit the size that a silver could hit in about 2
