overflow boxes and eels

I was thinking of putting my eel in my big tank but the problem is that i have two corner overflow boxes. Does anyone have any ideas on how to block the overflow boxes? How do you guys with eels keep them out of the overflows?

Use filter foam or something similar. Post pics of what you are looking at, and you may get better and more specific advice.
