Hello, I was wondering if I could keep a green tree frog with my long tail grass lizard and Green anole. I saw one at the lfs and it looked pretty cool, could they all handle each other's humidity? thanks.

Any other experiences on keeping them would be appreciated.

My sister kept one for over a year with green anoles, it eventual ate it self to death, got so fat it looked like a green egg.

You can keep them together, but mixing species is not recommended among herp keepers. It would be best to house only same species together.

Tree frog enclosures have to have a lot more humidity than grass lizards or anoles. I think it could be done but at the cost of all the animals comfort. I would set-up a cheapo frog tank. A 10-20 gal. tank stood on its side with some type of plants. I find pothos(sp?) that are draped over sticks or branches work good for my frogs. I have a hard time killing these plants. I just have a 10gal aquarium light as an energy source for the plants. Other than that you just need a water dish and food.

I can't remember the issue, but if you look into this year's Reptiles magazine, there is an article about how to mix species for a community tank. If you are looking into doing it, see if the library has some back issues and check out what species they talk about. I know all must be wormed, too, or parasites build up, quick. I did it without worming once and lost a whole tank after introducting a toad to my tree frogs.

Hmm, i might try it one day when i have more resources and more tank space,

as for de-worming, how would you go about doing that? specialized food?

Tiny enemas.
