Found this pic from a Japanese site. It was caught from congo but it doesn't say Papyrocranus congoensis. Papyrocranus afer are widespread around Africa but nowhere can be found in congo and this tells us that this pic below is a 100% Papyrocranus congoensis. Patterns is also very different from Papyrocranus afer which have more of a golden spots or broken stripes, while this Papyrocranus congoensis darker patterns that look very similar to almost leopard like patterns.

Papyrocranus congoensis

To compare this one with my Papyrocranus afer (old pic). The pic above is very different in patterns.

This is the first time I've only seen pic of Papyrocranus congoensis and probably yours as well. Been hunting this for a while now still no luck.

Hello,

My motoro rays are captive bred and (as far as I know) have never been fed live food. I acquired them at around 2-3 wks old and have been feeding them a staple diet of blackworms and red wigglers. I have noticed that my smaller male ray's fecal matter has bands of white running down the length of "the curly," but still solid. Whereas, my female's is one solid color all the way through. This worries me because their diets are the same, yet the fecal matter is different.

Both have good appetites, but I want to know. Its always better safe than sorry.

P.S. If I put the fecal matter under microscope, how am I suppose to ID it anyways? I'm no biologist.

This is for a used item that comes with brand new bioballs (worth $20).
Does not come with the valve you see in the manufacturer's pictures in the link. No leaks, No cracks, No scratches. Minor salt deposits, now being used for freshwater setup. I currently have a 1000gph overflow box (worth $100) with 2 drains welded to 2 pvc pipes from one end of my fish tank draining out to the eshopps tank directly onto the filter media. Works very well and is running as you are reading this right now. I'm looking to upgrade so I need to get rid of this sump setup. The PVC pipes are only welded onto the overflow box, which can always be sawed off to specifications. Nothing is welded or attached to the sump itself. The pipes run along my wall right on top of the sump and drain right into it.

I want to know if you guys have thoughts on using this to clean an aquarium. Obviously, I'd have to put some kind of filter on the sucker part to avoid eating up the fish, but do you think it would be an acceptable amount of suction? The thing says it can be used to drain swimming pools, so I've no doubt it can handle the load. I just don't want it to murder everything in my tank when I use it. I googled this idea and apparently no one has ever tried it as far as I can tell. The tank in question in 125 gallons, if that makes any difference. Thanks.

***Altogether you're looking at a sump setup with overflow box, 600 gph submersible water pump (Via Aqua) and plumbing welded on of which i spent over $350. All has been owned and operated for only a month so far. Pretty much Brand New equipment.

Can sell separately if interested.
*Altogether: $200 obo (no lowballing)
**Eshopps Sump w/bioballs: $150 obo
***Overflow box w/plumbing: $50 obo
****ViaAqua 600gph Pump w/ 5' clear plastic tubing: $25
****Willing to trade for Hagen Fluval FX5 External Canister Filter or Eheim Pro II 2128 or Pro III 2180

This is for a used item that comes with brand new bioballs (worth $20).
Does not come with the valve you see in the manufacturer's pictures.
