A little over a week ago I moved her and a tsn in their new tank. Everything has been fine untill today (see pics) I did a 20%wc (my wc kit broke so I had to use a gallon jug lol) so I went out and bought a new hose and melafix. Any idea what's wrong? Water checked out fine besides my nitrate. It was high. Second of all my water temp was almost 90° . The sump on the tank was on her old tank so the sump was cycled. Im really stumped on what it is. I managed to get her to eat some garlic. I'm going to do a 50%wc and treat with melafix and Prazi pro. She isn't her self she wont swim around and not your normal redtail. Any help will be appreciated IV raised her from a little fry now she's 17" .

So a week ago I moved her into her new tank. I moved her sump from her old tank everything went great untill today. I went to feed her and noticed everything. Any idea what it is? What I can do? My nitrate was pretty high. I did a small water change due to me breaking my old hose when moving her to her new tank. However I got a new one. I treated her for parasites with prazi and I have melafix. Ill put I after another wc. I managed to get some fresh garlic in her also. I may also add the tank has been at 90° due to it being so hot but it has dropped to 78. I don't know if high temp would cause this. The shovel nose with her has no signs of anything

So my friend messaged me the following

I think she might have internal parasites. I'm not really sure bc I don't see the white crap that's supposed to happen. Usually the fish come up to the top when I walk in for food and the GT would usually swim around the top and dip down to defend territory every now and then. The last couple days shes just been sitting at the bottom in corners moving as little as possible...she will chase other fish out of certain areas but isn't eating at all -- the only other symptom other than not eating and basically being lazy is I do see her opening her mouth really wide more than usual. Just from google i'm guessing its a parasite. Any advice on treating this? I'm hoping maybe its just a weird phase or something. The other two fish in the tank don't seem to have any issues. Thanks man!

And I have no idea what it could be

Today I noticed that my prized black arowana had a cut on his eye. It appears to only be in the 'spectacle', the clear tissue that covers the eye itself. It does not appear to have hit his iris or any other actual structure of the eye. It does not appear to cause him any distress. It has not affected his behavior or appetite.

I'm not sure what caused this. I suspect that he spooked and hit the lid of the tank. There's no sharp edges in the tank that could have caused this. The injury also isn't consistent with the injuries that I've seen my GATF inflict on other fish before, so I don't suspect that the GATF is the culprit.

What I'm wondering is if there's anything I should do to help this heal, or is this one of those things that just has to run its course? Will his eye heal or will he effectively lose it?

Thanks in advance for your insight

When I got home from work today I found a dead guppy. I didn't really think much of it as they live with a 7" severum in a 55 gallon and figured he got annoyed with it or it died of natural causes because I've had a couple pass over the last few months that were pushing their natural life expectancy as they were nearly 3 years old. None of the bodies I have found in the past had what I noticed on this particular body of guppy or fish I ever owned for that matter was pretty startling. The read guppy had a red looking poop half way sticking out of it's anus. Since I never have seen it before I pulled on it and out it came. A tiny disgusting slap in the face. A mini dead worm with another behind it. Both dead. This is very upsetting as I recently treated my tank because my severum had ich and septiceria. I'm scared that my tank is housing callamanus worms. :( I've read that I'd have to get meds from a vet as the medication is usually used on livestock like pigs and cattle. Is this true?
