I have decided to join you here, since I have a new large fish, an Electric Blue Jack Dempsey. Also have large Koi in my backyard pond. So I hope I qualify as a MFK member. My main fish are discus and angelfish, large tanks of each. I am a very long time fish keeper, planning to learn a lot here and contribute too. Barb in North Carolina

My name is Nick, 21 years old and I am from the Netherlands. I'm interested in tropical fish since I can walk and talk. My grandpa had a little aquarium with little guppy's and corydoras and I've been in love ever since. I started with my own fishbowl and 2 goldfish since then I've constantly kept fish until now. Because I'm going to Suriname for an internship of 5 months I've had to sell my last aquarium including all the fish. When I'm back I will build a bigger tank for some rays and an Asian Aro.

I'm new to this sight so I wanted to introduce myself. I have a 240 gal tank with a golden tail eel and a 24" blue spot stingray. I got into saltwater aquariums about 4 1/2 years ago and can't get enough of it.

Hello, monsters � joined a while back but never posted before; didn't think I was a Monster Fishkeeper, but I keep being referred back here. The most recent was for info on some Uruguayan cichlids: Cichlasoma sp. "La Palma" (max size 3"! Monster?). So maybe the fact that I have 15 tanks, over 200 gallons and about 12 species that I'm working up to breeding makes me a "Monster", after all.
I've got several types of angels I'm growing out: pinoy paraiba and platinum pearlscale predominate, and there are also some DD Black veils that keep looking like they're going to spawn.
I also have 6 species of plecos in process: L144, L129, L183, L270, L034, "Super Red" BN
Separate tanks for both Gold and Blue Rams, and two varieties of apisto in with some of the angels: cacatuoides "Orange Flash" and agassizi "Double Red"
Panda corys keep multiplying in my community tank, but I haven't ever pulled any out

Hi everybody, I am now a proud member of monster fish keepers. Currently I have two clown loaches (6inches) that I am trying to sell and I large red spotted severum. No more tiny tetras for me! I hope I can someday get my hands on an arowana or sturgeon and put them in a 5000 gallon tank. That is if I can find one...;)

I have checked these forums many a time for answers to questions I had and also used the plywood tank section to get my build going! Now I need monsters to fill it and heard some of the best vendors frequent here as I cant get any monsters locally (small community with 1 lfs)

Can't wait to meet everybody and begin stocking!

Presently I have 3 mono pbass in a 90g, 1 emperor, 2 rtc in 100 L, and 4 frontosa in 75g

Hi MFKs,
I keep some fish, a variety of shrimps and other inverts, snails and recently, dwarf Asian floating frogs. I try to culture as many live foods for them as I possibly can, but it's difficult finding sources for some of them in Canada.

I've heard a lot of good things about MFK, so I look forward to learning here.

Hello. I have been researching tons since my first aquarium a couple of years ago. I am starting all over now. I have 2 aquariums (240 g and 20g). I am a big fisherman, hunter, and most things outdoors. I also have 3 dogs (german shepard (working), Dogue de Bordeaux, and a Shih Tzu). I love the fish hobby as challenging as it can be, I find it rewarding. I am fascinated with the more agressive fish. I currently as of this morning (on my doorstep) added 2 mono peacock bass and 2 silver arowana. I have had pacu in the past and actually gave them to a lady that donated them to seaworld San Diego, which is better than what is the common and dumping them into the local fisheries. I hope in the next couple of year build my own aquarium of at least 500 gallons. Materials are a little pricy but from all my research does not appear to be too difficult. Anyways, really looking forward for answers to my questions and advice that I can get from this forum.. Happy Fishing!
