Here you go... crappy cell phone pics. Wes just posted much better pics of these guys on his blog. You should check those out as well.

Hey Eric, my two males (red lips & red flanks) I got at about 1/2"-3/4" from Jeff Rapps and one is approximately 6"s plus while the other is about 7"s plus. I suspect full growth will be at about 8"s or so. Once they hit 6"s, growth seems very slow -- although my largest is getting THICK similar to a wide bar. My two females I just got about three weeks ago. If you notice they look a bit roughed up compared to my males -- those are about the same size 6"s/7"s although they look a bit larger due to their long "veiled" anal fin. Their fins are healing up nicely.

Those are very nice, like how they are a more rounded species from back to nose. (Roman shaped) Wouldn't mind getting my hands on those to add to my collection.....;)

Yeah they totally look different from any other SD I have seen. In addition to their "roundedness", their lower jaw extends beyond their upper jaw, their eyes are "buggier" like that of an oscar fish, and are graceful compared to other SDs.

I know how you feel. I would not mind getting a male/female pair of Metynnis fasciatus to add to my collection. :)
