I’ve been out of the hobby for some time now and just made my way back. After moving from Cali to the east coast for school I knew this would be my only chance to finally take care of piranhas. I originally was going to go with something like a mixed pygo shoal. So one day I sat down on the computer and googled aquarium stores near me and ended up calling like 30 places. Out of those 30 only like 2 carried piranhas and basically only the common red bellies. I ended up getting lucky and found a really special LFS that had some of the most interesting and rare species that I’ve only seen in pictures on mfk and YouTube. I took some pictures and was in awe seeing them in person, I felt like I found a gem especially in these current times we’re living in where every lfs has a shortage of fish. I ended up leaving with a manuelli and can’t wait to see him grow . That feeling of when I was a kid walking into Petco seeing and learning about all the different cichlids came back. Here are some pics I took while I was there. If anyone is in the DMV area make sure to check out londontowne tropicals
