What is this...worms ?

Picked up a little brchir have him in a 20 gal qt and i noticed this little worm/hair like things floating around and laying on the bottom of the tank.

I always treat with parasite gaurd in qt will this work for what ever these things are?

Will try and get more pics

Looks like a relatively harmless nematode from here, but hard to say without more info.

I see some similar particles in my tank from time to time. I've always chalked it up to maybe single strands of fiber making their way out of the filter.

before you use chem treatment google photos of aquarium planaria and aquarium detritus worms.
If they're not latched onto the fish, just floating around and in the gravel (depending on which organism) it might cause more problems to kill them off real fast. verify before treating.
Don't over feed the tank.

planaria or something similar....don't worry about them, they may have come with the poly from wherever you got him. They are sign of overfeeding similar to hydra or just about any other nematode tank visitors we get from time to time.

Well if you are treating already due to it being a new fish....you good..... always a good idea to QT a new fish if source is questionable.

Lol thanks guys but the poly has been out of qt for a month or so. Havent seen them in the new tank.
