Possibly one of the dumbest mistakes with pvc cement

I dumped PVC cement in my turtle pond while was was applying the glue to the fittings. Holding the can and fitting in one hand and the application brush in the other i managed this stupidity. Some how the turtles and fish survived, as did my 8 year old synodontis decorus catfish.

To make matters worse I drilled the bulkheads way to high and now cannot figure out how to lower the water level without sacrificing water flow and gpm, any ideas would be appreciated.

WOW...that stuff smells strong...... did that once and dropped it all over me.......glad your stock did not die..... as for the bulkheads....you could always seal them off and drill new ones....lower is always better as you can increase the water level easily.....best of luck.....
