I have some experience with a group of Odoes and would not recommend them. They are just too skittish. Had them from babies to around 20cm. At that point i simply couldnt like them anymore. Every move i made had them knocking against the glass and flying through the tank. Ive traded them...

I have a group of 6. Got them at 5cm. Now, 1.5 years later, they are around 35cm and still together. They do fine, although they do ***** a bit at eachother. I have many plants, which gives them all sort of their one space when needed. An honest addition: im not sure if it will continue to go...

i dont think the sun and a T8 tube are quite te same. I understand that it appears to be no good on the eyes, but i personally havent seen any signs (in bahaviour) that it hurts the fish.

I wonder where the idea comes from that tanning hurts or blinds the fish?

Tanned reds have better color, the orange/red is deeper. They do develop naturally but it will take several years, as mentioned above, and less nice than tanned fish.
