Careful on putting too many rocks stacked in a 55g if it's a newer tank. The glass is not thick enough to support the taller stacks of heavy rock. I would do some sort of "egg crate" on the bottom to evenly distribute weight. I would also get a power head or stream pump of some sort to keep the...

Be patient, don't stress them. if it survived, you will see it soon. If you go poking around trying to find it, you will stress all fish and possibly lose other fish. Takes at least a day or two for new inhabitants to settle down into a new space.

Check my 65 for example of a setup almost exactly like you want.

take your shellies, put them in there and combine with a few daffodils and maybe a julie, they will venture up.
