This will be the last update.
Unfortunately, I have decided not to setup a pond for it.
Lightning growth from a fingerling to an impressive 10" in just 5 months. It was wolfing down massivores like crazy & it will probably hit 2ft+ in a year.
I gave it away to my LFS and they promised to...
an update...
It's around 7" now, almost as big as my datnoids. I found a potential buyer but at the same time I don't want to let it go.
I feel bad that I didn't set up the 300G pond for it, but its also a pain to set it up.
Glad you sold it locally
I am curious! Is this a sting operation? or? I hope you don't have any piranha at your place, as the restricted species permit looks tedious to apply. :nilly:
I am curious, how can man made uv exposure turn a black eye fish in to red eye? Isn't uv exposure causes cancer too?
if it reverts, red eye back to black eye? :nilly: it boggles my mind!
just dirty glass, not ick
sometimes I wonder, would mine be a grade F - ST? It got all the traits, even the tail bar doesn't touch.
or
could it be the result of Indo x NTT? Indo x ST? :naughty:
Hybridization is a possibility!
Yes it was in a shop, and it was getting bullied by a pair of red devils, hence the bite marks. I'd almost thought it was a ST.
AT 9-10" long & at $200, it's a steal!
I thought I give it another try on peacock bass, but one of them didn't make it.
It was a wild chase during netting at the vendor, and I think it died out of shock or muscle spasm during transit.
:(
Potential pair too, as both fish never fought in the same tank.
