I was looking on Garf.org on plans for building a similar tank(300gallons)96"X24"highand36"deep, they recomend a 1/4" commercial grade glass, what thickness glass did you use?
I just checked garf website and it said 3/8"

As far as the glass is that best or is acrylic any better, or just preference?
I think it's all about preference. Both have pros and cons. Glass isn't 100% transparent and tends to warp the image on the other side of it. But it doesn't scratch as easy as acrylic. Acrylic scratches very easy, but doesn't warp the image of the occupants on the other side and it's clearer than glass. It also handles more bowing, but I don't think that excessive bowing is ever a good thing.
All preference IMO.

What are the dimensions of the window you want to fit the glass into? I'll run the dimensions through my calculator and tell you if it might be okay...

Will do my man.

What ya going to put in it?
An Aro, CK and O. Plus 2 common plecs to keep things clean. MIGHT add some more fish once every one is nice and settled. You can check out pics on page 3.
