Red bellied Pacu's are a fish species considered to be breed by aquaponic hobbyist/subsistence home grower. They also taste sweet(not a phrase-like awesome) if their diet are from an array of fruits.
So...as some may be able to tell by my signature, I am starting a fish farm. I have 50 pacu in the mail, and although Im planning on butchering all of them, if I could keep a couple to try and breed (which is something that we are interested in doing) I would do that.

And pacu do taste..."sweet". I would say that there was more of a smokey/spicy flavor. Its strange its not like hot, but...zesty? Most of my fillets for this year are spoken for, but in the future people should be able to buy them from me. So...pm me. :D

Lets get this thread started again. Anyone heard anything on this?
