Female loggerhead musk died, don't know why.

She was trapped in a bookshelf yesterday (that was heavy as hell) and I had to take out all the books and lift the shelf with a crowbar to get her out......I come back from school and she's upside down on the sand, lifeless.....I spent $200 on this turtle and she was easily my favorite....I'm guessing she was carrying eggs and wanted to lay them, she tried to climb out of the tank twice (and succeeded...)

She could have very well had eggs or was egg bound but only an autopsy will answer that question.

I can't stomach cutting open my favorite turtle. I couldn't even have the stomach to bury it in the garden to rest in the ground. I put her in my freezer and I feel pretty sad whenever I go into it to get me a frozen peanut butter sandwich.

Sounds to me like her internal organs were crushed by the weight of the books that collapsed on her.
