Water that clear in the Mississippi? I am a scuba diver, i know lots of divers who actually do dive arond the dams, no giant catfish, it's just a tale to get the locals to go oooh ahhhh and to impress local girls of how manly the divers are. This is from the divers, they like to shine on the public as much as anyone else.

ps for sure, never heard of a flathead so big.
and shovelnoses the size of a vw bug is a bit too much, and I have seen big TSN already.
maybe its just some kind of ilusion, been down there if the possibilit of such huge cats can scare the hell a lot of people.
